Namibia

Namibia Travel Ideas

Namibia is the reality of a living desert, rich in contrasting landscapes and ever-changing colors, it is a unique and diverse Africa. It is difficult to describe the charm of discovering the people, fauna and flora of a country that have adapted to living in some of the most arid and inhospitable areas on the planet.

In the northwest of the country live the Himba, also called the Ochre People and still tied today to traditions of a semi-nomadic life that over the years has allowed them to survive in this difficult territory.
The regions of Kaokoland, Damaraland and the Skeleton Coast are home to some of the last free-ranging populations of lions, black rhinos and desert elephants that have adapted to living in extreme conditions, developing new habits and, in some cases, even different physical characteristics.

The central part is classic Namibia, with its boundless landscapes of expanses of yellow grass and red rock formations that create indescribable color contrasts: a journey that starts from the ancient Namib desert, with the famous orange-red dunes, and goes further and further north to the Atlantic coast bathed by the icy Benguela current and then crosses Damaraland to the Place of Mirages, Etosha, a national park that can give you very strong emotions.
