Mozambique Travel Ideas
Mozambique is one of the most extraordinary countries in Southern Africa. For those who are not satisfied with just the sea, sun, corals and beautiful seabeds but want to live a more complete African experience, Mozambique is the ideal place. With a naturalistic heritage still to be discovered, the interior of the country has only been open to tourism for a few years, while the spectacular seaside destinations are already famous and well-known.
Paradise islands and archipelagos hidden in the Indian Ocean, a short distance from the mainland, such as Bazaruto, Benguerra, Quilalea, Quirimbas and Vanizi, offer long white sand beaches caressed by a sea of rare beauty and small villages still uncontaminated.
But Mozambique is not just sea and for those who want to rediscover the era of Portuguese colonialism and areas that are still not very touristy, its hinterland offers breathtaking landscapes and the possibility of coming into contact with a tribal culture that is still very much felt.
The Niassa and Gorongosa national parks are also stunning, both from a landscape and wildlife perspective, and thanks to the efforts of several non-profit associations dedicated to environmental protection, they are once again becoming among the most beautiful on the continent.
